How to get to Puerto Rico
Arrival in Puerto Rico is through the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in the city of Carolina. This city is 5 minutes from the city of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. From the airport to the place where the event will be held in Salinas it is 50 minutes without traffic. With the traffic in San Juan it is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Puerto Rico is a Free Associated State of the United States of America. All maritime and air entry is controlled by the Customs and Immigration Service of the United States of America. The official currency in Puerto Rico is the US Dollar $ and most credit cards in the world are accepted.
There are about 5 car rental companies in the airport area. For visitors from the Dominican Republic, there is another alternative to get to Puerto Rico via ferry, which departs from the capital of Santo Domingo and arrives at the Pan-American pier in San Juan.
