Tropical MTB Challenge HC
The Tropical MTB Challenge is an HC and Jr Series event on the UCI international calendar for the 2025 season.
This event will be held on February 17 and 23, 2025 at the facilities of the Albergue Olimpico in Salinas, Puerto Rico, one of the largest sports complexes in the Caribbean.

Location
How to Get to Puerto Rico
Arrival in Puerto Rico is only through the Luis Muñoz Marín international airport in the city of Carolina. This city is 5 minutes from the city of San Juan, Capital of Puerto Rico. From the airport to the place where the event will take place in Salinas it is 50 minutes without traffic. With San Juan traffic it is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States of America. All sea and air entry is controlled by the Customs and Immigration Service of the United States of America. The official currency in Puerto Rico is the US Dollar $ and most credit cards in the world are accepted.
In the airport area there are about 5 car rental companies. For visitors to the Dominican Republic there is another alternative to arrive in Puerto Rico through the Ferry that departs from the capital of Santo Domingo and arrives at the Pan American pier in San Juan.

Albergue Olimpico
The Albergue Olimpico has 280 beds available in rooms in the Olympic Village. We will transfer this availability to the national federations to accommodate elite, sub-23, junior UCI and youth and pre-youth national teams. The cost per night, per person with the 3 basic meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) internet facility is $70 including tax. There are rooms that include a small stove. The villa also has a laundry and clothes drying service.
